Is your child a budding goalkeeper? Well, you've come to the right place! Following on from our popular Friday evening Goalkeeper sessions, we're delighted to provide goalkeeping camps during the school holidays. Where and when does it take place? The Goalkeeping Camp will run from 9am to 3pm on each of the days listed for boys and girls aged 7 to 15 years of age. Due to the ongoing development at Hayes Lane, we've had to have a rethink on where we will be hosting our soccer camp over the holidays with minimal impact to you. With this being said we will be basing ourselves across the road at The Ravensbourne School. Nothing changes, we'll still be flourishing as ever just on a different ground for the time being. Address: The Ravensbourne School, Hayes Lane, Bromley, Kent BR2 9EH What does my child need? A packed lunch and bottle of hand sanitiser along with plenty of drink and suitable clothing. A change of clothing must be provided if poor weather is expected or occurring. T-shirt and shorts are fine in better weather, but we advise parents to bring along tracksuits and warm clothes as the weather can change quickly! Trainers or football boots are acceptable but NO METAL STUDS are allowed. Shin pads are also preferable. Goalkeeping gloves are required and children will not be able to participate without them. Please label all of your child’s belongings clearly. Weather policies Rain/Poor weather: With the best all weather pitches in the borough we’ve had one session cancelled in our 8 years of operation, and that was due to a mountain of snow, which is extremely unlikely at this time of year! Rain or shine, we’ll be running and open as usual! Please note, we expect you to provide your child with a waterproof jacket. If poor weather is occurring/expected you MUST provide your child with a change of clothes. They will then be able to swap to dry clothes in the event of getting wet. Failure to provide this would result in a member of staff calling the named parent/carer to drop off a spare set or to pick the child up to avoid illness. Hot/Sunny weather: In the event of hot weather, you should ensure you apply sun cream to your child before arriving at the stadium. You should also leave a bottle of sun cream in your child’s bag. Should they need it, they will be able to apply it themselves under the supervision of a coach. Please note the permission section for this in the booking form. At present, we will be using the covered stand area to house the children at dropoff, break, lunch and pick up times. This has been tried and tested in recent months and has worked perfectly. How do I book? Following the popularity of our most recent Soccer Camps, parents are encouraged to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Children will enjoy football in a safe environment and will be coached by DBS checked and FA qualified coaches, who are goalkeeping specialists. Refunds: Please note, spaces are non-refundable. Should your child not be able to attend a given day, you can request a change of date by emailing: community@bromleyfc.org
